The House Education Committee will hold a public hearing on HB 226 at 1:00 p.m. in LOB 207. The bill  requires districts prove that they’ve implemented a reading improvement program to the Department of Education for third graders deemed not proficient in reading. They must report on the program annually and provide annual test scores for every student in the program.
