The House Education Committee will hold a public hearing on HB 276 on Tuesday, January 17 at 9:30 a.m. in LOB 207. The bill allows parents or legal guardians to opt their children out of the annual statewide assessment. It prevents both the Department of Education and the State Board of Education from penalizing districts for lower participation rates.
