Hearing on HB 620, prohibiting SBOE from requiring districts comply with federal curriculum, on February 14 at 1o a.m.

The House Education Committee will hold  a public hearing on HB 620 on Tuesday, February 14 at 10:00 a.m. in LOB 207. The bill prohibits the State Board of Education (SBOE) from proposing rules that would require districts comply with federally mandated curriculum, instruction, or assessments that are not fully paid for by state or federal funds.

HB 395 removes homeschooling from SBOE authority

HB 395 gives the Home Education Advisory Council complete authority over homeschooling programs.  (more…)
